rider information

All levels of riders are encouraged to enter. Regardless of riding experience, Jennie has a wealth of knowledge, sharing classical concepts that are easy for all riders to understand and grasp. She has a gritty “get it done” teaching style, while still remaining empathetic to horse and rider weaknesses. Jennie focuses on ride-ability, going back to basics, and honing in on key position details, making small changes that create massive impact on the overall picture. It is suggested to enter your level that you are currently competing at, unless you are planning to move up a level soon and are currently jumping above your level. Jennie likes to start small and build on confidence, but you will most certainly end the session jumping higher than your current level. ASTM/SEI certified riding helmet and closed toe riding boots required when mounted, XC vest required to ride on XC course.

auditor information

If you are not ready to ride, you can still learn SO much by auditing. Jennie is very interactive and willing to answer questions from bystanders. However, we ask that in respect of your fellow auditors, please keep side chatter to a minimum. For those that struggle with hearing, we have a voice amplifier and mega phone so it should not be an issue to hear what Jennie is teaching. We have permanent bleachers and outdoor seating under shade, but please feel free to bring your own chair. Auditors are also encouraged to sit ringside and are welcome to come into the arena (but please keep your eyes up!) For XC day, we will have a flatbed trailer with hay bales (think old school hay ride!) being pulled by a UTV so auditors will not have to walk from jump to jump. All auditors will be given a wristband with their name on it and are NOT allowed to audit without it. Snacks & beverages will be provided to all participants. There will be a pizza dinner with beer/seltzers provided at the conclusion of Saturday’s rides, available to weekend auditors only.

Hospitality & Accessibility

We are seeking hospitality sponsors! Please reach out if you would be interested in sponsoring clinic drinks, the Saturday night meet & greet dinner, or restroom facilities!

Snacks & water/soda will available to all participants, auditors included.
There will also be a meet & greet pizza dinner with Jennie (beer/wine provided, byob if you want something else) at the conclusion of Saturday (for riders/weekend auditors only.)

There will be a port-a-potty near the arena for rider & auditor convenience. There is also a permanent restroom on site in the barn with a shower for anyone that needs one. We have handicapped parking near the arena & UTV shuttle for those that struggle with mobility.

About jennie Brannigan

Jennie Brannigan is an extremely accomplished US 5* Event rider, currently ranked top 50 on the FEI Eventing World Athlete List.

Originally hailing from Area IV before moving to the West Coast, she is an alumni of the Young Riders program, having won team and individual gold in the 2008 Young Rider Championships. She then moved to PA and became the assistant rider to Phillip Dutton, collecting numerous FEI wins before completing her first CCI5*L in 2015 at the Kentucky Three-Day Event with Cambalda. In 2022, she finished in fifth place at the Maryland 5 Star CCI5*L with FE Lifestyle. In 2023, Jennie continued her momentum from the previous year, finishing two horses in the top 20 at the Land Rover Kentucky 3-Day Event CCI5*L and was the highest placed Burghley CCI5*L rookie, finishing 12th place aboard FE Lifestyle. Additionally, she picked up many international wins across multiple levels & mounts, including the CCI3*S and CCI4*S at Maryland International, the CCI3*L at Rebecca Farm, and the CCI1*S at Plantation Field. Due to her consistently competitive results, Jennie and FE Lifestyle were just named to the 2023 USEF Eventing Elite Program.

Jennie has represented the U.S. Eventing Team at Boekelo, The Netherlands, competing in the CCIO3* in 2012 with Cambalda, the CCIO4*L with Stella Artois in 2019, and the CCIO4*L in 2021 with FE Lifestyle.

Other recent top results for Brannigan include a third-place finish in the CCI4*L at The Event at Rebecca Farm in 2021, a second-place at the CCI4*S at Stable View in 2022, and a win in the CCI4*L at Bromont in June of 2022, all with her own Thoroughbred gelding, Twilightslastgleam.

In addition to her incredible Eventing career thus far, Jennie also has experience with racehorses, having breezed them for many years, and has competed in steeplechasing, timber racing, and even tried her hand at The Maryland Hunt Cup. Jennie is known for her positive demeanor both in and out of the saddle, and her gritty “can-do” attitude is what has made her one of the best modern event riders in the U.S.
