It was another successful weekend down in Shreveport, Louisiana competing at the Holly Hill Equestrian Center’s Holly Hill Spring HT! It seems like every year we go to Holly Hill, it torrentially rains at least once in the weekend— leaving everything a muddy mess, but nevertheless… we are eventers, and the show must go on!
All of the horses were tremendous and put in excellent rounds to bring home wonderful results, which is exciting for how early we are in the season!
Ava Elena Alvarez & Hugo Boss finished her second training level on her dressage score once again- she and Huey put in two very fluid and beautiful jumping rounds to finish just outside of the ribbons in a solid JTR division. I’m so proud of how Huey is jumping and know that with more experience together Ava will start getting the dressage scores out of him.
Ginger Stiver & Brementown finished her LAST beginner novice on her dressage score for third place with two beastly and beautiful jumping rounds! So proud of her and BT especially since she’s fresh off her multiple hand surgeries this winter!!
Vinny finished his second novice insecond place finishing on his 33 dressage score! He continues to get braver and bolder jumping but I’m mostly proud of his strength he’s gaining in the dressage! His scores are consistently going down and he feels more rideable with each outing.
Thank you Julie Wolfert for all of your help preparing and executing the plan and a HUGE thank you to Ava for helping groom this weekend to keep everything running so smoothly!!
Onto the next one!
